let’s play catch-up

whew…what a month it’s been….what a summer it’s been!

from camps to camping, we have been non-stop

this month we had a bunch of long weekend camping trips and a trip to the cabin (instead of grandad’s boat b/c of an iffy forecast)

sean took a week off (his first in a long time) and only spent 2 days at home in-between our long trips

 monopoly is our favorite game right now. dylan obsesses over buying boardwalk and park place and will buy hotels and houses and be down to his last dollar

somehow I still end up bankrupt

Tall Timber…..had a wonderful weekend with granddad and gamma

fishing, rock collecting and relaxing

our last trip of the season was another beach trip….this one much better than the last….weather wise

we will definitely head back to this state park

my dad’s brother and wife live in ocean shores, (about 4 miles from where we were) so they had us over for dinner…..along with my cousin’s husband and boys (my cousin was away on business) 

it was SO wonderful to see them….my aunt and I just chatted the night away, and dylan loves the big boys (who are such NICE young men)

we had about 4 days of “hot” weather this summer and managed to get ourselves to the beach for some fun and sun this month

and when we aren’t gone, this is what our house looks like

I love that our house is where everyone plays

even when it gets a little messy after snacks

2nd grade starts on the 7th….believe it or not, I am NOT ready for him to go back

it feels like fall already…..cold and rainy today….we had such a cold summer

sorry this one was so long and so photo heavy….I’ll be back to regular posting now!  (a couple of my photos might look different….I’ve been playing around with “actions” on my photoshop – so much fun!)
