growing up…..

 

when I downloaded the pictures from dylan’s most recent soccer game, this one jumped right out at me

I feel like I am looking at him when he will be 16.

this past weekend was so amazing to see the growth that dylan has gone through in the last year or so.

they lost that soccer game pretty hard (0-7). in the past, even last year, he would have been very upset. pouting, saying “soccer is stupid”, “I don’t want to play again”, etc. well, not this year. he’s been taking it all in stride and not letting it bother him at all. it’s been wonderful to see!

later that evening we went to a skating birthday party for his buddy next door. do you remember this post? it was such a nightmare and I thought he was scarred for life. LOL he has not touched skates or rollerblades since….even though everyone in our neighborhood has rollerblades (hence the skating party). well, sean got out on the rink with him, thought  he was going to quit after about 2 times around, but he pushed through and did great!!! 

and guess who wants to get a pair now?  ha ha

we are so proud of the way he is maturing and handling situations better! now if he would just behave on the bus ~ it’s only a 7 minute ride for heaven’s sake!
