halloween fun

the “unknown phantom” had lots of fun this year….as usual

it poured rained for 3 days straight prior, and the forecast said downpours for trick-or-treat day, but it was clear and warm – perfect

our neighborhood is halloween central and I went through about 250 pieces of candy…..crazy town!   but oh so fun!

next year our neighbor and sean want to sit in the middle of our houses with a “big” bonfire (borrowing the idea from friends one street over who did it this year).  that brings back fun memories of my mom always dressing up and one year sitting on our front porch with a witches brew.

the adults really get into it too which makes it really fun…..we think it should be like thanksgiving and always be the last saturday of october

I forgot to take a picture of our entire front porch all decorated and all our awesomely carved pumpkins…..oh well, it’s just like christmas or birthdays, some shots always get missed

the day after halloween, a dentist in our town gives the kids $2 per pound for their candy….and an extra $1 if they bring it in their costume. dylan picked out his favorites and took the rest in. he is saving for a lego set and got $7 for his loot!

money means more to him than sugar!
