good Lord I vow to never get this behind again! especially because with my memory being the way it is, I can barely remember the details a month later!
the 24th arrived with dylan having a raging case of strep throat…complete with upset stomach and fever. we took him in and they did a culture right there and gave us a RX for antibiotics. we know he’s sick when all he wants to do is lie on the couch all day…poor little guy!
the dr. said he would be contagious for 24 hrs. so our christmas plans needed to be adjusted a bit. gamma and grandad went to amy’s instead. we were sad, but it was kind of nice to have a quiet christmas just the 3 of us.
the medicine did the trick and he woke up christmas morning feeling MUCH better!
this was the first year dylan had any interest in getting us presents by himself. for me he MADE an adorable lego portrait of himself and for sean he found a golf ball that said #1 dad on it. he spotted it when we were out shopping together after getting his santa picture taken. he was SO EXCITED to give us his presents. I will keep mine forever.
look at the look on his face as sean is opening his present. be still my heart.
on the 26th we celebrated with the family….it was a nice day but it was the 3rd day of christmas cheer and the kids were DONE. good to remember for future years!
now life has been back to “normal” with school, karate and basketball = BUSY
