much needed.....

this past weekend I went with 8 of my friends from our neighborhood up North to Whidbey Island for a "girls weekend".   oh what Heaven it was !

when I told Dylan what we were going to do - talk, eat, talk, shop, talk, drink, talk, eat some more, talk some more - his eyes glazed over........and that's exactly what we did.  

my friend Heidi offered her aunt's beach cabins for the weekend.  they were right on the beach and we all can see how she and her family escape there so often in the summer. 

and lest you think the hubby's and kids were missing us.....they were having their own party down at home.  pizza on friday night at one house, caravans to the movies and bbq and poker saturday nite while the kids ran around the house played nicely.  

as long as they had fun.....it's more likely our girls weekend will be able to happen a lot more frequently!     And all the laughing I did will sustain me for a looooong time!
